Glamping

If you said you wanted to glamp, and there was space we'll have been in touch with you about it directly, but here's some information around that...

Arrival

If you are camping, either in a bell tent (more on that in a minute) or a normal tent, then we’d love it if you could join us Friday night, for the build-up - any time from 5pm.

If you can’t make it until Saturday morning, that’s no problem at all...as long as you’re in time for the ceremony! Your tent will be ready and waiting.

Departure

Is on Sunday! There's going to be plenty of tea, coffee and brunchy stuff, plus we get a bit more time with you. We've got to be off site by 3pm though.

Friday Night Survival (aka 'What about food?')

We won’t be providing food on Friday night, but you have options: There’s a nice pub nearby that does great food (we’ve tried it already) so we will most likely reserve an area there. But we’re not ruling out the option of a Friday night BBQ...

If you're camping in a 'normal' tent then just scroll past the next Glamping bit...

Bookable Bell Tents - AKA Glamping

You might have received some kind of communication from us, if you said you were interested in hiring a Bell Tent. We couldn't offer this to everyone though as there isn't enough space, and had to make some executive decisions.

So, if we did offer you a bell tent, and you decide after all you’d rather just bring your own tent, please let us know ASAP - so that we can offer this option to another guest.

(If we didn't offer you a bell tent but you actually really would prefer then let us know, we might be able to figure something out).

The correspondence will have had details on where and how to book a tent. So please do this asap, so we can be sure of numbers and so that the Bell Tent company has enough time to sort all the options out.

Bell Tent Options

There are a few different options on the booking site and it may look a little overwhelming at first so we've summarised the options below.

PLEASE NOTE:

The prices below are the prices you will pay, but on the booking site you will have to pay that cost plus a £100 deposit. So don’t be put off by the seemingly high prices on the site - you’ll get £100 back (unless you do something silly…no open flames in your tents people!).

Happy Campers AKA "Normal Tents"

If you are camping in a "normal" tent then there's a few things to bear in mind:

  • If you want, we can probably source a nice big tent for you if you don't have one. Let us know if you need that.
  • Glamping is a state of mind, feel free to bring all the bits and bobs to make yourself comfy, or we'll see what we can provide for you.
  • Don't worry about it being difficult to get changed if your tent isn't a Princess Palace™ - we are hoping to create a 'beauty tent', a space where people can put on clothes, use a mirror, that kind of thing.
  • If you would like us to set your tent up for you, it's just a case of finding the time to get the tent to us (or a designated bestie) and we'll pitch it up all ready for you on the Friday. No need to worry if you're arriving after a hard day's work! Again, let us know if you want to make this happen and we'll make arrangements.

Info for all campers

Remember to bring

  • Refillable water bottles, we'll have taps of course
  • Keep cups / mugs. We'll have some, but it will probably help us out on Sunday.
  • PJs. It shouldn't get cold at night, but we don't know, May can be unpredictable.

Getting Ready

  • There are proper toilets and 3 showers. Which isn't a lot of showers, so try and get in there early so everyone has time to use them! We'll give you more info on this on the day.
